Blenkinsop Creek Bridge Closure
The Blenkinsop Creek Bridge is closed for necessary repairs and upgrades. This means that the Lake Loop trail is not fully passable at this time.
The Swan Lake Site Team is currently determining a timeline for these repairs. In the meantime, please monitor our social media channels, e-newsletter and the Swan Lake website for updates. Updates will be posted as soon as they are available.
Visitors can walk to Blenkinsop Creek from either the north or the south trails, but must return the way they came as the bridge has been removed. There are no designated detour routes for the full Lake Loop trail on Nature Sanctuary grounds.

The Silver Swans Exhibition at the Arts Centre at Cedar Hill
We're excited to announce that Swan Lake Nature Sanctuary's Silver Swans will be featured at an exhibition at the Arts Centre at Cedar Hill. Join us from April 2-28 at 3220 Cedar Hill Road to discover the artistry of the Silver Swans and their hand-sewn quilts.
Join us to celebrate the Silver Swans and their work at an opening exhibition held at Cedar Hill Recreation Centre. Drop by to meet the artists, explore their work, and connect with the community!

The Silver Swan's will also be hosting a free workshop as part of this exhibition. During this workshop, participants will follow step by step instructions to their very own nature-themed felt ornaments! No experience is required and all materials will be provided.

50th Anniversary Social & Annual General Meeting
Did you know that 2025 marks Swan Lake Nature Sanctuary's 50th anniversary? We are pleased to invite you to a special evening at Swan Lake Nature Sanctuary in celebration of 50 years of restoration and education.
Join us on June 12th at the Nature House and help shape the next 50 years of conservation. Enjoy light refreshments, hear opening remarks from Saanich mayor Dean Murdock, and connect with community as we celebrate this significant milestone.
Following the 50th Anniversary Social, we will transition into the 2025 Annual General Meeting (AGM). Please note that only active members hold voting rights. A quorum of active members is required for AGM voting.
