Offer your group an extraordinary opportunity to get grounded in nature with stunning views, outdoor meeting breaks, and the tranquility of the Sanctuary.

Indoor facilities:
The Classroom
Featuring large windows looking out at majestic oaks and mirror-like lake views.
This versatile room can be arranged to suit small gatherings or larger meetings.
Add on use of our in-room kitchen facility to help serve refreshments.
Best suited for groups of 35 people or fewer. Capacity is highly dependent on seating plans.
- $73.50/hour (2 hour minimum)
- Includes access to folding plastic tables and folded padded chairs
- Includes two large whiteboards for notetaking, pull-down screens for projection, and a podium for your presenter.
Additional options:
- Projector +$15/day
- Highspeed WiFi (full bandwidth) +$10/day
- White tablecloths +$20 for 5, Multiples available.
- Coat rack with hangers +$15/day
- Use of kitchen facility $250 damage deposit + $50 per day (see Online Facility Rentals Request Form for details).
The Library & Classroom (contiguous space)
Need more space for larger gatherings or to provide additional areas for breakout groups or refreshments. The Library can be added to the Classroom as a large contiguous space. Enjoy the vista through the windows and the cozy atmosphere in the library.
Best suited for groups of 55 people or fewer. Capacity is highly dependent on seating plans.
- $84/hour (2 hour minimum)
- Includes additional tables and seating.

Nature House (Classroom, Library, Main Hall & Wetlands)
Invite your guests to enjoy all public areas of the Nature House for your event, adding on the Main Hall and Wetlands too. Our bay window area is particularly stunning!
This option is only available outside of Nature House operating hours. Max building capacity is 80 people. Capacity is highly dependent on seating plans.
- $120/hour (2 hour minimum)
- Includes Classroom, Library Main Hall & Wetlands (glass corridor with exhibits and two bathrooms).
- Removal of the taxidermy and display cases from the Main Hall for your event +$30
- Includes additional tables and seating.
- All Classroom options also available for this space.
Outdoor facilities:
Teaching Shelter
A covered area with bench seating. Nestled among Garry Oaks it provides exquisite views of Swan Lake; perfect for educational gatherings, meetings, book launches, art & meditation. Your imagination is the only limitation!
- $63/hour 2 hour minimum
- Accommodates up to 30 people
Founders’ Wharf
Host intimate gatherings surrounded by rushes, bird song and lake water. You will truly host an event on the lake.
- $63/hour 2 hour minimum
- Accommodates up to 20 people
Site Use
Looking to host an outdoor workshop, birding tour, photoshoot or unsupported outdoor event? We offer access to our beautiful grounds for your outdoor event through our Site Use Agreement. Please complete the Form above if hosting official or paid programing on site (e.g. group visits, guided walks, organized events, etc.).
- These are unsupported event (no Nature Sanctuary staff required)
- Use of the Founders' Wharf and Teaching Shelter is permitted, however these spaces are not reserved for site use agreements and must be shared with the public. To reserve an outdoor facility for your group's exclusive use, please see the Facility Rentals and Online Facility Rentals Request Form
