Bee Day
Sunday, May 26, 12:00 noon to 3:00 p.m.
A honey of a program fit for the royalty of the insect world. What’s the buzz about bees…How can we encourage bees in our backyards? Bee songs, bee crafts and some bee spit to taste. Join us and you’ll bee amazed, bee enchanted and bee happy. Bee there or bee square.
Admission by donation, $5 per person recommended.

Terrific Turtles
Sunday June 30, 12:00 noon to 3:00 p.m.
Turtle nesting season is upon us. Find out about these scaly wonders with games, crafts, and visits with our biggest celebrity, the live Western Painted Turtle, Wrinkles!

They’re creepy, they’re crawly and they’re cool! Explore with us the fascinating world of insects, spiders and other invertebrates. Hands-on exploration, live bugs, crafts and games.

Join in the fun of this popular annual celebration of our scaly friends. Featuring lots of live reptiles, crafts, games and more.

Creatures of the Summer Night
Friday, August 2 OR Friday August 23, 8:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Check out Swan Lake’s nightlife! Sharpen your senses to look for owls, bats and other nocturnal animals. Using a grab bag of tricks, we’ll discover how these animals are adapted to their nocturnal life as well as take a guided evening walk down to the lake in the search for nighttime creatures.
Suitable for families with children over 6 years.



$9 each for Sanctuary members / $10 each Non-Members.

Birds of Prey

Wednesday, August 7, drop in between 12:00 noon to 3:00 p.m.

Birds of prey have amazing adaptations from keen eyesight to stealth and speed. Come find out more during this fabulous feathered event, play games, make crafts, and even get the chance to examine an owl pellet

Wild for Wetlands

Wednesday, August 21, drop in between 12 noon to 3:00 p.m.

What makes a wetland such a great place to enjoy and protect? Find out with hands-on exploration, pond dipping for live wetland creatures, crafts and games.
