Thanks go to The Victoria Foundation for their support of a project to protect the vernal pond on Christmas Hill. This unique rock formation is home to rare, significant and threatened native species of plants and insects.

Mountain Equipment Co-op has generously provided funding to assist with the construction of a new raised boardwalk in an area on the Lake Trail that typically floods in the winter. This project is part of a renewal process that addresses aging infrastructure and ensures year –round access to the Swan Lake site.

Thanks to all those who braved the weather to support our first fall Native Plant Sale. Despite the downpour we raised significant funds which will be put to good use as we undertake some major restoration projects.
Welcome to new staff member Cat Thom who has joined the education team as Part-time Naturalist and to Intern Amy Medve who is assisting the site crew.
