The Swan Lake Christmas Hill Nature Sanctuary is located in the District of Saanich, near the city of Victoria, Canada. Surrounded by a developed urban area, Swan Lake is an oasis of natural beauty only minutes from downtown Victoria.
The parking lot and trails are open from dawn to dusk. Please note that in order to protect the wildlife, Saanich By-laws prohibit dogs and bike riding within the Nature Sanctuary grounds.
Directions to Swan Lake
By Car: (From Downtown Victoria) Go North on Blanshard St. (Pat Bay Highway #17) and take the McKenzie Avenue exit, right on Rainbow St., left on Ralph St., right on Swan Lake Road. The parking lot entrance is on the left.
By Bus: (From Downtown Victoria) Take Swartz Bay #72 or Saanichton/Royal Oak #75 to Pat Bay Highway/McKenzie Avenue interchange, walk east one block on McKenzie Avenue, right on Rainbow St., left on Ralph St., right on Swan Lake Road, follow the road into the Nature House. Total walking time is around 10 minutes.
