Consider a Donation of Securities

Depending on your personal financial situation, you may find your donation will go further if you donate securities or mutual funds in place of cash. Capital gains tax is not applied by the Canada Revenue Agency on donations of publicly traded securities. That means that 100% of the value of the securities will be applied to your donation and eligible for your tax receipt.

You can begin the process securely on-line with Canada Helps by clicking on the link below. Canada Helps suggests you consider making your donation before mid-December to ensure they can receipt your gift for the current tax year.

Plans for the new boardwalk include teaching pods for the over 10,000 school children that take part in Sanctuary programing so that they might continue to enjoy learning about nature on the floating boardwalk. The wharf adjacent to the Nature House, was replaced in June 2010. Phase I (The North section of the boardwalk) was completed on time and on budget in 2015.
