Consider a Donation of Securities
Depending on your personal financial situation, you may find your donation will go further if you donate securities or mutual funds in place of cash. Capital gains tax is not applied by the Canada Revenue Agency on donations of publicly traded securities. That means that 100% of the value of the securities will be applied to your donation and eligible for your tax receipt.
You can begin the process securely on-line with Canada Helps by clicking on the link below. Canada Helps suggests you consider making your donation before mid-December to ensure they can receipt your gift for the current tax year.

The Bridges to Nature Capital Campaign
Our outdoor classroom, the wharf adjacent to the Nature House, was replaced in June 2010. We are now engaged in a campaign to raise funds to replace the entire floating walkway and south wharf. Built in 1991, this much-loved feature will soon need to be closed for safety reasons. Read more....
This program provides you with another way to support our Bridges to Nature Campaign and it doesn’t cost you any money! To receive a Smile Card for you our your group, please visit the Nature House during office hours. More details are available here.

Ecosystem Restoration Fund
Restore a turtle habitat, provide a place for frogs to flourish, rehabilitate the native plant demonstration garden, control invasive plants, restore the Garry Oak meadow and upgrade the trails for our 65,000 annual visitors.
Members will receive the Sanctuary newsletter and are entitled to a 10% discount on programs, plants at the Native Plant Sales, and merchandise from our gift shop.
